"I entered the world of barbering as a joke. It all started when a friend asked me to cut his hair at home, even though I had never touched a hair clipper and didn't even know how it worked. I told him I could cut hair, that he should bring the equipment to my house, that he had a clipper, and so it was. We watched a video or two and I cut it. Obviously, the result wasn't what I expected, but it wasn't too bad either."

After that day I felt it was fun, I felt it was something different, I saw it was harder than I could have imagined, and I became interested in cutting more people because I really thought...
interesting.

At the time, I already knew Carlos, I was a client of his, and I would jokingly send him videos of the haircuts, and that's when one day he offered to teach me and help me get into this world.

At first it was complicated, I was finishing my studies and I was afraid to start something that wouldn't amount to anything, that it would simply be something momentary, and that I only wanted in a superficial way.
Just kidding, but I decided to accept.

I started staying by his side, watching him cut hair, and I talked a lot with him about this world. He explained things to me, told me how it worked, not only in terms of haircuts but also in terms of professional life, personal life, and much more.

I also met João, one of the people who helped me a lot on this journey, who always motivated me from the beginning and taught me many things.

And it was in that early stage that I saw that barbering wasn't simply about cutting hair, about seeing how you deal with a client, not only in terms of the cut but also on a personal level, knowing how to deal with all kinds of people, striving to do the best for the person sitting in that chair. I found that special. I spent many days thinking about giving up, feeling like I wasn't born for this, but I also looked ahead and saw that this was what I wanted after all, and maybe if this was what I wanted, why not keep trying? But my family and friends always motivated me a lot, always supported me, always let me practice with them, and in the end, all the effort was worth it, and now I do what I love.

Throughout this journey I have learned and grown a lot both professionally and personally, and I have seen that this is much more than I could have imagined. There is nothing more beautiful than seeing people who appreciate our work and seeing the effort we put in every day rewarded with that.
These people are smiling.

Because behind every barber, behind each of us, there's a story, a constant struggle to forget all our problems so we can make everyone happy!"
